    Is today a normal working day in the states?

    Many offices are either closed or off half day. Plus, many people take this day before the 3 day weekend off to extend their time off.

    It is in these parts- more people may request off to extend their weekend- but the day in an on day

    Yeah in the grocery industry it's required to have an extra day off during the week (for holidays) I was off yesterday night.. work tonight. making a difference all over the world!

    Monday is the official day off. But all retail outlets will be kicking full gear.
