Yes, NY hired one of these guys to come into the city and devise a plan (scheme) to reduce traffic. The plan was to charge a huge surcharge on drivers during peak hours. It was eventually ditched.

But seriously, as far as a "web traffic" consultants, I never heard of them, but would think it's just one part of an SEO consultant's or specialist's job.

"2. Buy SEO Book by Aaron Wall"

He's not selling that as a standalone product anymore. To get that now you have to get on some some subscription service that comes with the ebook and some other things like a forum.

Haiko, Can I just pay a guy to tag the governers car w/ my url ? Rick Perry would be elated ! ~ I think that's the word. Instant press coverage.

Just discovered that myself. Right now the $100 per month subscription fee (if I read the site correctly?) is waaaaay out of my reach. Drat!

Steve, what duplicate content? If it isn't something you can't rewrite, use a robot text file to tell the search engines to not index the pages with the content that is duplicate. Then you shouldn't get hurt.

I guess there isn't one, but what you should/could do is get hands on some good PPC/SEO expert(s), then work out all the ins and outs of your market from SEM perspective (PPC/SEO).

I wish it were that simple. The lazy ass merchant made up a dozen so called keywords and stuffed them in the product descriptions titles then the jerks did it on every single Item i sell through them. If i remove the offending items, I'm out of biz cuz the crap is splattered all over my entire site almost.

    Man I wish.

    Sandy

Yes there are SEO & traffic consultants & they are often one in the same. They are 1000 USD / mo for a good one and a few want 10,000 USD up front.

A few range from 35- 70 usd/ mo & the "average" is 500 usd/ mo. BTW: most of these guy just submit your site to hundreds of directories and tell you to figure the seo site tweaks out for your self. I think that sucks.

Haiko, am I wrong here in thinking this sucks. Is hundreds of directory submissions legit part of seo ?

Another guy wanted 750 USD up front. Still another 1800 upfront w/ 3 payments of 1800 USD each or nearly 6 grand total.

Bottom line. I need 250,000 visitors / mo and I need to get to it. & xx% needs to convert.

I refuse to buy software. {Think friend finder pro} Donuts would kill me.
