What can they be thinking? One step forward, and 2 back.

    This is most interesting, indeed.

I thought they went independent. If so, why associate with another network again?

Ok, I must be missing something here. What exactly is PepperJam offering that I'm not already getting from the ePN?

    Wow!!!!
I've spent the better part of the evening reading posts on here about Pepperjam.
Haven't reached any conclusions other than that there sure was some S#$T
stirred in the threads. It does seem they have many"fingers" in many pies.
I'm wondering why Ebay would do this so soon after leaving CJ.
Surely this was in the process before the announcement in March.
At first glance it seems commissions are better than EPN...
After the crap about auctiva and others, leakage on Ebay, lack of participation on this and even their on board, and now this it looks like I need to establish some other affilliate relationships even quicker than I have been.
And if that isn't enough to drive a person crazy.....I'm having my best month of Ebay sales and ACRU's....go figger.....lol

I think we should add a "Knucklehead of the Year Award".

Will be a tight race this year, but I cast my first vote for eBay.

    What a confusing development!

My first thought: Maybe EPN is having major tracking issues, and they felt that this move could bring back affiliates who have dropped them? I say this because I know that some ebay affiliates have been dissatisfied with EPN's tracking and have been vocal about it. This is speculation on my part, I could be way off base...

Still trying to figure out why they picked Pepperjam, though??????

If that were to happen, my ethics trump money.

I don't like pepper in my jam.

That's not strange, they don't say anything unless it's some PR spin. But ask them to answer something REAL like how to affiliates know that they aren't using their info to further promote their own affiliate ventures and they don't answer.

Ask them about this "transparency score" and why do ALL merchants in Pepperjam need information on ALL affiliates in Pepperjam (whether they joined the program or not) and they don't say anything.

So it's not strange for them to be silent...unless they have something new to promote.

Is everyone as confused as I am now??

I've cast my fortune with EPN, well at least a small portion of my fortune. Do I need to do something with eBay via Pepperjam, too? They certainly wouldn't, they COULDN'T, merge EPN into Pepperjam so we really would have to convert all our links, COULD they?

    Would they??? Could they???

    They could.....they would....they might
Diversify....guess thats all we can do.
I really am corcerned that Ebay might have looked at the bottom line and questioned as to if it is worth all the trouble and expense to run their own program.
If that is the case Pjam might be a try-out to get out of the biz. Doubt they would go back to CJ.

If anything like that were to happen they'd probably just give Pepperjam access to all your information...err I mean they'd probably just let Pepperjam manage the program from EPN.

I'm laughing at this whole dealio.

They were so close to getting it right... so freakin' close. Then bam. Jammed.

Shame they don't understand subaffiliate networks and the scourge they are.

Some gems in this old thread, are helpful in realizing how their game works:
"How a CPA Network is also an Affiliate"

This thread has tremendous insights as well:
