Better link Cloak and NO FOLLOW's
I have a PHP / MySql cloaking scenario whereby an index.php file is created for each publisher item link.

The index.php is then stored in its own subfolder - e.g. thispublishersitem

All the folders above are then placed under 1 folder called, say - 'likes'

My affiliate site links then look like: http://www.mysite.com/likes/thispublisheritem

Google then gives me an HTTP Error for all those links with a 404 error!

Do I just use a no follow and tell google not to go to my 'likes' folder?

The Cloaking routine comes from smart link cloaker (smartlc) if anyone has any comments about that?

Thank You and I apologise for such an awfully phrased question!

Google doesn't give 404 errors, your server does. I can't advise you on smartlc, but it could be that you need to make adjustments in your php.ini or your .htaccess. See if you can access the server error logs for your site. If you have CP it should be easy, if not you may need to ask help from your host.
I would also suggest that you wait for someone who has maybe used smartlc or had the same problems. They may give you better help.

Wow. An index.php for each product?

Are you not planning on having very many products listed on your site?

It is usually Product Model Line Links and "Obscurer" Websites that I put into the SqlBase and then create the index.php for those - I have maybe Max 50 on one of my sites - 25 to 40 on others.

Weekly, Monthly, Daily Specials I do not treat that way....

For Example, "Honda Civic" would be in the SqlBase, the various models of Civic - DX, CX, EX etc. would not...

And, No, compared to some people's sites I do not have a lot of Items.
    RSS Helps tho'

If you dont want google to crawl those pages just put the file in your robots.txt in the root of your server. I have something similar on one of my sites and it works great. Google stays out and other search engines and my PR rank doesnt go down.

Then again - some robots never go to your robots.txt page.

Block them in your .htaccess file.
