Phishing alert to G adwords advertisers
Don't know if anyone else has received an email like this yet, but I got two of these this morning. At first glance they look like they legitimately came from Google. A definite look-a-like, complete with authentic looking G logos etc!

Luckily I got suspicious, so I closed the mail and went to my G accounts. No alerts there, so a potential id theft was avoided once again by superior intellect!! Just wanted to alert others in case you are an adwords advertiser and you get one like this while you are rushing through other issues.

    "Dear Advertiser,

We were unable to process your payment.
Your ads will be suspended soon unless we can process your payment.
To prevent your ads from being suspended, please update your payment information.

    Please sign in
    to your account at http://adwords.google.com/select/login,
    and update your payment information.

Thank you for advertising with Google AdWords. We look forward to
providing you with the most effective advertising available.

    Best Regards,

    The Google AdWords Team"

I thought I saw this same thread here about a week ago?
maybe different, the subject was similar; it's at http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread.php?t=105764

The email was not quoted there but led to a visit to Google Groups where they warned about malware if you click the link.

Thanks Busy - I'm not here much lately as we're busy working on a new project. I did not see any threads in the suspicious activity forum so thought I'd post it as an alert. Happy to see tat Rhea caught it May 23rd. Thanks again.
