    PayPal Shipping Options
    Does anybody know if it is possible to set up several shipping options for PayPal "Buy Now" buttons, rather than use the default flat fee/percentage calculation?

    The use of Paypal has nothing to do with what shipping is used???

    Can you clarify your question?

    Nick will be away for most of the day today. So let me reply here.

    When instead of a shopping cart one is using PayPal's Buy Now buttons, and the customer clicks one, it seems that there is no way to have more than one shipping method (either a flat amount or a percentage tied to the order amount) there. Nick's queston was whether anyone knows if it is possible to have multiple shipping options there at all.

    The PP site provides different options and code examples. Here's a shipping override example that could easily be expanded to provide multiple flat rate shipping options with a little HTML coding. This is an example of shopping card shipping and may or may not apply to buy it now items. I'm sure you can probably dig it up at PP though...

    Adding a Shipping Override
    You will need to add two lines for your shipping override. The first line is the cost to ship the first item. The second line is the cost to ship each additional item.
    Copy and paste the following code into your Add to Cart code between the <form> tags:

    <input type="hidden" name="shipping" value="0.00">
    <input type="hidden" name="shipping2" value="2.00">

    Replace the "shipping" value number in the first line above with the price to ship the first item. (By making the value 0.00, you could run a free shipping promotion on an item.)
    Replace the "shipping2" value number in the first line above with the price to ship each additional item.
    The final code for your Add to Cart button (with the two new lines added) should look something like this:
    <form target="paypal" action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post">
    <input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_cart">
    <input type="hidden" name="business" value="me@mybusiness.com">
    <input type="hidden" name="item_name" value="Baseball Cap"
    <input type="hidden" name="item_number" value="12,345">
    <input type="hidden" name="currency_code" value="USD">
    <input type="hidden" name="amount" value="15.00">
    <input type="hidden" name="shipping" value="0.00">
    <input type="hidden" name="shipping2" value="2.00">
    <input type="image" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/x-click-but22.gif" border="0" name="submit" alt="Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!">
    <input type="hidden" name="add" value="1">
    </form>

    Thanks for your input, Boomers. However, it doesn't seem to work for "Buy Now" buttons, unless I'm doing something wrong. I've searched through PP website before starting this thread but couldn't find anything.

    Ok. Apparently PP shopping cart options are somewhat limited.
    We utilize our own shopping cart as well as presentation of various shipping options to the customer. One of our payment options is PayPal. The PayPal purchase is identified by an order number with our business name as opposed to an item description. If you can integrate your own shopping cart, then you can make it work the way you want.

    If it isn't for hundreds of items, there could be a buy now button for each shipping option. If it's for more than a few items a cart would be far better.
