    Drop Down List programming Question...
I have a simple html drop down list.. Does anyone know a way to initiate some javascript when someone makes a selection on the dropdown list, but without them hitting the submit button...

In other words, the drop down list has "Red" "Blue" "Green" as options... I'd like to be able to do some javascript when they select "Green" but it has to happen before they hit the submit button..

    Make sense?

You have to use the onChange event. There's a decent tutorial at http://www.davesite.com/webstation/js/theory1jump.shtml

    Hi Code Monkey,

Just as a side note, be sure to keep the submit button for accessibility reasons. Folks that are visually impaired and use a reader need the button to maintain functionality.

.....sorry to be a busybody, just wanted to point that out.
