    Analytics Filters
Does anybody know if Google Analytics filters (IP address, country, etc) are applied after the data is collected or before? In other words -

    1. If I add a filter right now can I go back to my graphs and see the new and improved filtered information and...
    2. If I remove that filter in a month can I go back and see what the data really looked like during the month?

    Thanks,
    BFP

    an old topic but anyway,

Filters are applied to the raw data, then they are sent to reports.
1] Can't apply to the old data, unlike advanced segments.
2] No. You need to leave your main profile alone and create a new profile for your filters.
