Thumbs up Sorry Sweden... Viva Russia!!
After Russia winning the world championship in ice hockey just a month ago, it is certainly good to see Russian football changing into what it is becoming... Those of you who saw our yesterday's match with Sweden know exactly what I mean. Those who didn't, you may see it yourself here.

We're now one of 8 best teams on the continent!!

To say that the quarterfinals will be tough would be to say nothing. But we'll do our best...

Viva, Russia!! I'm certainly proud of my country!

Congrats to Russia. I just wish that England were in the tournament.

As a Russian, do you consider yourself to be a European? I know that Russia shares a huge border with Europe, a heck of a lot more than Turkey, who are also in the tournament

Absolutely. Had I lived by the border with Mongolia, I would've probably replied differently. But most of civilized Russia is definitely in Europe.

Russia played very well and fully deserved the win. Holland will be tough but should be a cracking game. I have a sneaky feeling Croatia will win Euro 2008.

With the Holland's glorious victories in this championship -- 3:0 win against Italy (the current holder of the World Cup), and 4:1 against France (the European champion of 2000 and the team that lost the 2006 World Cup match to Italy), it'll be an extremely tough team to play (or should I say, the toughest out of the 7 quarterfinalists that Russia could play?). But I am a patriot, and I will trust Russia to win on penalties.

Nice goals from Schweinsteiger and Klose!! ...but I have a feeling that we'll see many more (and not only from the Germans).

I am rooting for the Germans in this match as well.
