    hi every one
    man lots of info ty guys!! one thing that im confussed on is i noticed on some affiliate registers it ask for a Federal tax number?

    This is a stupid ?? but how much do u have to earn in order to get taxed on it?

    When an individual receives compensation of $600 or more in a given year, a 1099 should be issued.

    Stupid? It's Federal law that requires it! Any vendor that pays $600/year or more to a non-employee must file a 1099 and that requires the tax id number of the recipient.

    I believe the OP was referring to their question as being stupid rather than the tax requirement being stupid...

    I know that's what he meant. Guess I didn't make that distinction in my response.

    though...... that $600 threshold hasn't been raised in many, many years; maybe it should be higher.

    1 dollar, but you won't be getting a 1099 unless you earn over $600.
