Been here for a year now! :D
Wasn't sure what to do about it, thought I'd make a thread.

Three things I've learned for the newbies that will help in AM, should be common sense.. but I learn things the hard way.

My first website: I found lots of content, on thousands of websites just like the one I wanted to make. High saturation rate.
New project: I'm searching deeply in to google to see if what I'm doing has already been done in the its niche.

My first website: I thought the idea was good, so went ahead.
New Project: I'm interviewing friends about the new project (who I can trust), getting more opinions to see if I'm not fooling myself its a good idea.

My first website: I had no experience with the subject matter, nor a lot of passion about it.
New Project: The niche really interests me and gets me exciting thinking about.

Of course, there is more. The rest will be available in my up coming e-book on affiliate marketing, called, Give Me Money For Free Stuff. I think its sweet simple and to the point.

Just wanted to thank everyone here on ABW for putting up with my questions, my rantings (mostly about a certain merchant), and thanks for the support I've been given. Y'all definitely have a good community here.

And I think the best way to end this first year in AM, is I actually have to get my w-9 in to ShareASale now! Uhh.. hopefully that's alright to say. I'm not sure how taboo it is to talk about what you make? It definitely it a nice feeling looking at a balance that isn't zero though.

Seems like you learned a lot and had a great year!

Book sounds interesting and like the title.

Congrats one your 1 yr. Anniversary. First year's symbol is paper.

I guess that means....paper => money, checks, etc.

LOL, that rounds out nicely. Paper!

Thanks. I was trying to be funny with the e-book, seems like that title fits all of the e-books about affiliate marketing, considering the information is all here.

Really? Whoops.. No, it was a joke.

Maybe that's why not many have been replying, LOL. Everyone thinks I've become one of those evil people.

I swear, I'm still wearing a white hat, it's just uh.. at the cleaners, honest. Those white hats are hard to keep clean.

Yeah, I'm usually in bed right now..

But caught someone online earlier who has "connections and experience" in the niche I wanted my new project to be in. And he is doing a good job shooting lots of holes in my idea, and pointing out all the problems with it.. so I'm being productive up this late.. though not a fun productive.

Time well spent, Hardaka. Congrats on the one year mark!

You'll come up with a gem and then another and another ... and now you know what to do with it.

    Thanks Haiko.

After having had my first real successful month, it's kind of scary.. I'm noticing. This new month could be like the 10 others in the year that brought nothing. Or the one month where I earned something, or maybe it could be great too! Think another lesson in affiliate marketing is, don't worry, just keep at it, lol.
