    Looking for a mentor
    Hi,

I've got a couple of sites, they all get traffic, they hardly convert. I need guidance, someone to help me make these sites work, and/or come up with new ones. It's frustrating to get hundreds of visitors a day and only earn $200 a month, on average.

    It's also economically disastrous.

So I'm interested in a mentor/partner, to help me reach my potential and then improve it. I'm open to all offers. Please PM me.

    Thanks.

superCool is in no position to mentor anyone, but do you have good statistics on what your users are doing? have you analyzed what people like and don't like? what is working and what isn't?

someone said last week that an average site should make about 1 dollar per month per daily visitor. so if you have 200 visitors a day you would make $200 a month. superCool knows this was just a very rough guideline/guess, but it sounds like you might be close to that. perhaps you need more visitors?

    good luck

$200 per month for hundreds of visitors per day isn't bad. You need more traffic.

Hundreds of visitors per day just isn't enough even if you can improve conversions.

You really need to be figuring out what you need to do to increase traffic to your sites

I disagree. 200 visitors a day on the right site can make money.

One of our sites averages around 70-90 uniques a day and makes more than a $1,000 a month. The traffic is completely organic too so there is no cost to acquire it.

It depends on how qualified your traffic is and what type of site you have.

I am sure you could get some useful feedback here if you want to post your site for review.

Thanks. I have two main sites, one gets 3-400/day, the other 1-200/day. The traffic is all organic, actually. I've never been able to get PPC traffic that did anything, and it can be a bottomless pit.

It may be as simple as site design tweaking, or as fundamental as just the wrong idea for the site, or posting the wrong offers.

    Or is there foul play?

Here's one of the sites: www.music.getitdone.biz. The idea is to sell musical instruments.

Add some compelling text to tell me why I should be glad I found your site and exactly what you can do for me.

I am not sure you don't lose people very quickly. You do not have much time to get a viewer's interest.

Look at this site http://www dot gigasonic dot com/

You immediately know what they offer. You might get some ideas from their layout and design.

Maybe try the Site Review forum to get some feedback/suggestions?

Exactly! That's why I hate those silly "if you have x visitors you should make x-amount" stats. It just doesn't work that way.

If I showed you some of my site stats you'd laugh at how low the traffic is; but if I told you how much those sites made you'd wipe that grin right off of your face.
