I hope this is the right place to post. I am looking for ideas on how to promote my affiliate program and stumbled across these forums through a Google Search. I sell Audio computer training products and offer a 40% commission.
My affiliate program is run through Clicktrade and the details can be found here: http://www.audioexam.com/affiliate.asp

I would gretly appreciate any advice on how to make this successful.

Thanks.

I don't want to sound rude - but you should probably hire a web designer.
I'd also remove the affiliate links and the self promoting banners.

Could you elaborate a bit on why you think a web designer is needed?
What do you mean by remove the affiliate links?

Mudslide03,

I'm going to have to agree with DarkBlue concerning your need to work on your site or obtain a Webmaster to assist you.

I find the best way to represent a store is to emulate the successful sites.

You’re working towards selling computer goods. Visit the top computer stores and see what works, then emulate it. (not copy emulate)

Ed,

I think possibly that you could make it easier for anyone to identify with what it is you are selling. I had to spend about 10 minutes reading through the site to get a grasp of what it is you are really selling. At first glance, I thought you were selling computer equipment.

Maybe a picture of someone with a headset on while driving or pictures of cassette tapes and someone studying, someone being handed a degree or something like that might get the message across more immediately. Most of the time you only get a couple of seconds to tell the story and grab someones attention. Just a thought.

Thanks for all the valuable feedback. I will certainly take a long look at my site and see what changes can be made to make it more "friendly"

Sales are actually pretty decent and I get quite a bit of traffic from other computer training sites with traffic trades and link exchanges.

I am really trying to figure out how to get more people to join my affiliate program so any advice on how or where to find people to sign up for that would be most helpful.

Thanks again for taking the time to critique my site and offer suggestions.

Mudslide03, above you say this...

quote:
My affiliate program is run through Clicktrade

but your site says this...

"Every time somebody purchases our products via ClickBank coming from your website, ClickBank will register the purchase and assign your commission." Could you please clarify? Is it ClickBank or Clicktrade?

In your post you also say that you get a 40% commission but I didn't see that on your site anywhere. You might want to add that to your site. People are going to want to know.

40% commission is pretty good but I can't even make $10 per sale on most of your products at that rate. It's not worth my while.

You know what would make it worth my while?
I noticed you have a "links" page on your site. If you would add my site to your links page, I would have no problem promoting your product on my site.

Let me know what you want to do.

Thanks,
Brian

Hi Ice,

My program is run through Clickbank. Clicktrade was an error but the forum software wont let me edit my post.

Half of my sales are for the packages so your percentages will be pretty decent on them.

No problem putting your link on my links page if you promote my program, isn't mutual benefit why we are all here.

Thanks for offering the link.
There is now an audioexam "button" on every one of my pages.
