    Target now 2% for couponers.
Got an email earlier today, Target 'adjusting' its commision to 2%. (for coupon publishers)

    Others 3-7%.

    It actually says:

Effective August 1, the Target.com affiliate program offers two compensation structures:

    * Tiered: 3% revenue share for electronics and 7% for all other merchandise, eligible to promote all site-wide promotions but not eligible to promote the $5 off $50 coupon
    * Coupon: 2% commission with access to a $5 off $50 coupon and all site-wide promotions
Still I am scratching my head. Why would I agree to 2% commission in order to promote a coupon? Am I missing something here or is this another case of arrogance?

You should be so honored to have access to our coupons.

(Thank you for updating the title and post to reflect 2% for couponers)

I got the email too. Some details as quoted:

Effective August 1, the Target.com affiliate program offers two compensation structures:

Tiered: 3% revenue share for electronics and 7% for all other merchandise, eligible to promote all site-wide promotions but not eligible to promote the $5 off $50 coupon
Coupon: 2% commission with access to a $5 off $50 coupon and all site-wide promotions

If you would like to change your commission rate to the Coupon structure (to receive the 2% commission and promote a $5 off $50 coupon) please fill out this form by July 28, 2008.
I'm not sure if it is worth it to sign up for the "$5 off $50 coupon" and have your commission rate drop down to 2%.

I have been thinking the same thing. It does seem like we have received a number of notices in the last month or so of commissions going down.
