Are there any 'Yes' fans out there?

I just dug out "Close to the Edge" on vinyl.

Playing it loud. Not sure my neighbours appreciate it, but it has to be done every once in a while.

I like their later stuff personally.. by later of course I mean 80s, not the actual latest stuff.. Big Generator, 90125 that sort of thing. Sad, eh?

Not sad. Actually, I don't know their 80s stuff, I got stuck somewhere back in 1972.

Actually, that's not bad for me, I spend most of my time listening to Mozart and Sibelius...

Close to the Edge was a great album. Haven't heard it in a while but makes me what to make that my next CD purchase.

Ahh, Close to the edge. The first song they do on the "symphonic yes live" cd. If you ask me they/nobody should put out a cd with just the music anymore.

Being able to watch this concert was great, since I was unable to catch the show when they toured that year. I did catch them the next time around though, in albany, ny, and it was the entire lineup from the seventies. Even though there wasn't a ton of people there, all I can say is WOW.

Cool, I got to put on the cd now.

I never saw them live. It was another case of great chemistry between band members - the 'whole' was better than the sum of the parts. (Which is not to say that the 'parts' weren't brilliant...)
Never much cared for Rick Wakeman solo. John Anderson had a great voice, in the Irish tenor tradition, (more of a counter-tenor), Bill Bruford is a brilliant drummer.

I like the Beatles, but don't much care for Paul McCartney in any other band or on his own.

I like Police, but don't much care for Sting on his own...
