I was checking out a friend that I am helping and one of her links go to a product page at Target that is triggering my Mcafee to pop up saying it deleted a temp file with a virus. I don't want to post the page here just in case, but anyone have a contact to Target? Anyone else want to check it out to see if it is a true virus threat or do you think it may just be a file triggering McAfee?

The Univbat.99 is the virus that it says it is deleting.

    Haiko,

If you go to www.target.com and type in

    Infant Baby Bumblebee Costume

and click on the Bublebee link, thats the page where I am getting the virus pop up. Let me know what you come up with.

Ummmm, did you get any results from the page Haiko or anyone else that tried the page? Just curious if it is just me getting the virus warning.

Tried that page at Target.com and my McAffee virus program popped up the same warning you had.
What is going on? This is the first time ever I had a virus alert while visiting a web page - can virus be transmitted that way? I mean, without actually opening an executable file.

    defanjos,

I think it is something to do with a cookie or file that is being put in our temporary file folder or something. I have been to a couple of sites where it said a virus has been detected. Only a few times though. Thats what made me wonder what was going on at Target. Thanks for checking all
