Can someone please help me understand.....is the Affiliate Voice an ( or going to be a ) Association or not? And if it is - who will be the President?

It will be an association, the president will be elected.
You want to be a candidate?

Nope....could never pass my own test.
IOWNIES criteria of Affiliate Voice President:
I think someone who can prove that they have made a significant amount of money ( $250,000 for at least 3 years in a row ), ethically, should be considered a worthy candidate.
I believe the President should have true and proven leadership qualities and not be elected because of their tenure within the industry or here at ABW.
I believe that a woman would make a better President than a man because I personally think that they are superior and much easier for me to deal with.
I think that the President should be a minority, so that noone can ever accuse the Association of discrimination.
I believe that they should call themselves Agnostic (regardless of what they really are), so that they can remain neutral in their religious beliefs.
I believe that they should be an "independent" so they do not offend the left or the right and not be accused of lobbying for either side.
I believe....... that this will be a difficult position to fill.
Oh.....and it might help if they drive a Prius.

I'm going to speak to the more serious points and ignore the silliness
I do not believe income should be a factor because I do not believe that income amounts or sources should have to be disclosed. There's no compelling reason for it.
I do believe that tenure, time in the industry, and reputation should be considered.
This isn't running for president of the United States. There will be no extensive background checks, no digging up dirt, no swiftboat-style attacks on someone.
If someone wants to run for AV president, they only have to say "hey, I'm running" and then give the membership compelling reasons to vote for him or her. The members will decide.Daniel M. Clark
