    Deals database RSS
OK - please Shareasale can you generate a valid RSS feed.

There is no namespace for the extra elements you are adding. If you are going to add extra elements they should really be like this: coupon:coupon_code coupon:imagebig and the namespace should be defined.

I have to do some real nasty coding to even traverse the feed. Usually I'd use a DOM but it totally rejects it because of it's content.

I've just had to just some more hacking because Merchant 6586 - Xavier Media™ have added the TM sign to their name.

I don't really wish you to start following standards now and screw up everyone using this feed but it would be nice if you at least started with some OR created a new version that validates.

    Sigh

If you look on this page:

    http://www.shareasale.com/a-deals-rss.cfm

You will see 2 links , one link ends with /dealdatabase.xml , that link is 100% valid RSS 2.0 .

There's another link that ends with /dealdatabase2.xml that one has some additional fields.

I use the 2nd one, I have no problems in parsing their advanced deal data base.

I'm not using an RSS reader, I have using my own proprietary custom written reader to read that feed, and it reads just fine.
