I have a script on one of my sites that emails me everytime Googlebot pays a visit.

Just now, I received about 100 emails in quick succession alerting me to a crawl, and straight after - Google.com no longer works!

Google.co.uk is fine, but the .com gives me a 404 error!

I tried deleting the emails, but nothing works!!!

Naw, it's me that broke it and I'm sorry. Can't get google.co.uk or google.com. Going through a proxy server like www.the-cloak.com works though, so I guess there is a problem specific to the UK.

Well, I don't care who broke it. I just want to know who to blame...

If it's broken, you WILL re-imburse for lost revenue won't you?

Maybe you were picked as a random tester to see if Verisign/Overture could force google.com traffic to their SearchFind 404 page
