    Centrro Credit Card Search
How can they track affiliate commissions? I just noticed this morning that their site is itself made up of affiliate links to credit card offers. How would they be able to track CJ affiliates on top of that?

Its a cashback site in a different form. They get their commission from the credit cards they promote. And in turn give a cut of it to its affiliates.

Tracking affiliate clicks in this scenario is possible, but will have a higher volume of leaks. Plus the vendors they direct traffic to may have leaks also.

Search marketing in the financial niche is very competitive. So what they are trying is have affiliates drive the expensive traffic to them for free (at least until conversion & tracking).

I think, there are other pure affiliate sites that have their own affiliate programs, like MyPoints, Upromise.

I'll post the "nitty gritty" details here shortly, but essentially the affiliate information is being trapped we we pass the click on to the card issuers and passed through to them as well.

They report to us daily and we upload the transactional info on card applications approved into Commission Junction and commissions are assigned.

There are some cool things that Centrro can do in terms of card matching with a visitor according to their credit score that are going to make this program fun for affiliates.

If you have any more questions, you can feel free to post them or PM me.

    Thanks,

    Hi Affiliate Manager,

Would you also confirm that you are an affiliate (or may be a super affiliate) of the card companies and now are recruiting your own affiliates. Your site simply diverts traffic to card companies like any other affiliate. So why would any one want to join you and not directly join the card's affiliate pgm.

And because you divert traffic to vendors, you have no control or knowledge about the actual conversions. You go by what the vendor reports to you.

If all the above are true description about your program, it raises too many red flags about conversion, tracking.
