I have a SERIOUS DEADLINE to meet. I need to hire someone to make an activex control with c++ translation from java. I can pay at least $2,000 US if you can complete the job in the next two weeks. Eligible programmer must be fluent in not only c++ but irc as well.
Haiko, I hope you don’t mind me posting this here, I don’t know where else to turn. Elance is full of nothing but companies from India and I have had bad experiences with them in the past.

Can anyone do this? If interested email me at steve@webchasm.com ASAP

    Best regards,
    Breeze

    Thank you Sandra,

Well it appears the developing a translation for ircxpro is not a viable solution.

Does anyone have any ideas on a better way to set up a chat network?

    ALL ideas are welcome!
    Thank you.

What exactly are you trying to do? I have another source for chat networks.

SSan.com maintains its own Instant Messenger if that’s what you’re looking to do?

A bit more specifics, I can then send you the appropriate information for that programmer. He is wonderful; he works with you every step of the way and VERY reasonably priced.

His info will have to be PM'd

Why not use java applet irc clients served from the same host as an irc server?
You could even proxy it through port 80 on the same host to 6667 (or whatever you are running).
