    Franklin Mint Just Booted Me
Just got one of those temporary removals email. Of course no reason given just the vague boilerplate crap.

I've been sending steady clicks and even sales in the past few months so go figure. Lots of competition. I usually just remove the links, so I don't loose the SERP placement.

I just didn't plan on doing this today.

(Of course I could appeal to AM, but I've become jaded and don't feel like working with folks who do this)

my email said "no activity in four months"

bet they show up mysteriously in my list of merchants, about September.

You mean boot you? Then they put you back, without you reapplying? I don't think I've seen that, but then again I do miss things once and a while.

I've seen it in both LS and CJ, but especially CJ.

I wish there was a way I could quit a program before they drop me officially -- just before.

I got the boot also............with the 4 month notation
I guess the sales from 5 months ago do not count.
At least I got paid for those sales.

I reread my email - and it did have the 4 mos statement. I've had sales within that period and lots of clicks, so maybe I'm not active enough.

My links were mostly xmas gift kinds of stuff, so I was glad for sporadic sales. Oh well, I've other collectible merchants and will replace those links in a few days.

I was booted too, emailed them and said that I had just recently gotten them up and I really expected to only make much in sales at Holiday time. They did reinstate me.

Got the boot, too. But, I'm not going to call them or beg them to keep me as an affiliate. Why should I work with people who don't understand what they are doing. I've no problem to direct my traffic to other merchants.

I didn't get the boot probably only because I'm not one of their affiliates but I've been deactivated from a few CJ programs this week.

I've been thinking about this booting of "low performing or inactive affiliates" and realized that our ethical EPC can't compare to the parasitic EPC that's unrealistically high.

What I'd love to know is how the hell do merchants (or those making the decisions for them) expect those "super affiliates" to maintain that unrealistic EPC without the ethical affiliates to feed from?! Grrrrrrr

I'm sending targeted traffic to these merchants - one in particular who I had to use after a SAS merchant in the same vertical closed shop. I was doing quite well with the SAS merchant, thank you and haven't made one sale after more than seven hundred clicks to the CJ merchant and now I get booted. Uhmmmmm ... it's not up to ME to close the freaking sale! I KNOW this traffic converts because it converted with the SAS merchant.

I need drugs to stay in this business! LOL

I wonder whose links those super-efficient 'affilates' will be using when they're the only ones left?

These are really annoying me. I get the boot then get :

"LinkShare is pleased to announce that you have been selected byFranklin Mint for a private program."

Then with Oriental Trading and HSN, removing and then pushing a new offer to me. There really is a market out there for good affiliate managers, not enough of them. Too many clueless people running programs.

Well, can't wait to see if that happens to me. In a fit of pique I just obliterated all their content as well as links. Think I might just let the AM know what I did, if it does. Because I really can't be bothered to reinstate them on my site.
