I too have been on the web for years and find myself a Newbie here.

You can send PM by holding your mouse over a member name. You are then given 4 or 5 options. One is to send PM. I just sent you one to prove it

I'm told by a couple of Moderators here, who do have access to the profiles, that you aren't missing much.

You can also go to My Space --> My Contacts. Add the screen name for the member you would like to PM to your contact list. Then click the PM icon to the right of the member's name to begin the pm.

Good policy to refuse to allow members to view the profiles. They are there to police abusers not for the e-mail scrapers, recruiting functions or piercing the identity veil.

It's a good thing, too. I certainly don't want people finding out I'm really Jimmy Hoff---errr, never mind.

LOL ...elbowcreek. Imagine those running those lame affiliate program announcement sites scraping e-mails from ABW profiles for some annon side income e-mailers. I'm transparent due to the fact my being the designer link on 200 client web sites puts my e-mail on all those "purchase 10 million e-mail addresses for 14.95" lists. I Average 400 spams per day making mailwasher work overtime.

I know what you mean, Mike. I've gotten so many of those 'enhance your package' emails, my yang should be 3 miles long. ( Did I just say that??? )

Even when you could view them, hardly anybody put their site or email for others to view. You only put down what you felt comfortable others had a chance to view.

This is one instance where people don't want to show you the money!
