NOTE: I may be one of the LEAST QUALIFIED people here to give you advice or help you solve the problem.

Having said that, here's something that just came to mind from a similar problem I think I had trying to put data into a MySQL table a few weeks ago:

When I got an error message similar to yours (and I don't honestly remember exactly what the error message was that I got), I THINK it was because I needed to change the permissions on the folder on the server to chmod 777.

BUT -- I've never even used oscommerce and I only offer that suggestion because something about your error makes me think my error was similar and had to do with folder or file permissions.

Hopefully someone who knows what they're doing -- unlike me! -- will come along and give you a better answer.

    Good luck!

That Access denied for user '*********'@'localhost' (using password: YES) is the problem.

Does your user name have INSERT permissions on the table you are inserting?

If not ask the admin to grant you the permission.

It sounds like you have a MySQL permissions error. MySQL has permissions outside of your webserver which are controlled via MySQL.

If I'm right a command such as this will also fail with the same error:
    select * from `products` limit 0,2

PS as 25trees mentioned you may have select privileges but not insert privileges so my test may work and you might still have issues.
