Seems y'all can't accept the simple fact.

We got 3 Yankees fans here. Do I hear 4?

Aww hell. 3's a crowd anyway, so here goes:

Q: How do you get FOUR Yankees fans to sit on ONE stool?

    A: Turn it upside-down!

Hey how about them Buffalo Patriots!

    Chief Beef -

I shall relish the A's dismantling of your BoSox.

It will be another in a long history of bitter losses for Boston, as the team assembled by A's GM Billy Beane (who Boston wasn't not able to recruit in the offseason) dismisses the Sox in quick fashion.

Can we expect 2nd choice GM, Theo Epstein, to trash another hotel room when his team is bounced from the playoffs?

    I couldn't care less.

After the spoiled SOB players went on strike in the '90s, I stopped being a baseball fan. It's not about sportsmanship, it's not about having fun, it's not about entertainment, it's about money.

With the obscene amount of money the players already made, I couldn't believe they wanted more more MORE! They're a bunch of spoiled, poor sports who couldn't care less about the game itself.

They set a poor example for today's youth, who admire them and want to grow up to be just like them. Oh great, that's what we really need: a whole bunch more self-centered, rude people walking around loose unsupervised treating everyone else like a second class citizen.

    spoiled baseball players

Now I don't think I can name more than 3 players today...

I still can't believe that we had a year with no World Series. The year we had that big strike was the last year I ever followed BB.

I guess $10 Million instead of $12 Million isn't enough for them to feed their families.

Come to think of it, they are about due for another strike aren't they? I don't recall one in a few years now, unless I missed one?

    Andy -

You sound like an affiliate manager that doesn't think his affiliates deserve a share of the revenue they're generating for him.

These players/affiliates just want their fair share of the pie from the fatcat owners.

    Correction:

You sound like a very poor, lousy affiliate manager that incorrectly doesn't think his affiliates deserve a share of the revenue they're generating for him.

These players/affiliates just want their fair share of the pie from the fatcat owners.

Unlike the parasites, who do absolutely nothing to earn their share, fair or otherwise!

Well well - I can't make a tongue in cheek remark - ending it with a wink - without a venomous, misdirected attack.

I've got to admit, I don't really get your post. If it's directed at my program, I've always treated my affiliates as the important partners they are, and never subjected them to parasites.

And if you are comparing wealthy ballplayers to parasites, I don't think that's quite accurate.

They're overpaid by the standards of the average person, but they're earning a relative value compared to what they're bringing in as revenue for their ballclubs.

My post was meant to exhibit that affiliate managers ought to be giving their affiliates the respect and $ they deserve.

    Shawn,

My response wasn't meant to be venomous, nor was it directed at your program. (Should it have been? )

I think you're trying to read more in to it than there is.

My original post had a wink in it as well, which somehow didn't make it past the first or second or third edit - my sig line messes up sometimes and shows the html commands for some reason.

Sorry the wink got deleted, I wasn't attacking you, but I am angry at the ridiculous ball players, and their ridiculous salaries, and the fact that they must have 15 cars, 4 vacation homes, etc.
