    1930s Marital Test
Well, my life might be falling apart on every front, but at least I'd be a good husband seventy years ago: 103 "Very Superior".

    1930s Marital Test

    -John.
There's a reason army's wear uniforms even though it makes them easier to spot. Sometimes that's what you want. Uniforms suggest organization, power, and numbers. These, in turn, inspire fear. And, as any good operative knows, there is no more effective weapon than fear.

I am proud, pleased and delighted to say that as a 1930s wife I am average. I was shooting for pathetic actually.

A few of my scandalous and inappropriate behaviors include:
    • Walks around house in stocking feet.
    • Wears pajamas instead of nightgown.
    • Wears pajamas while cooking.
And the most amazing thing is that my very non-1930s husband would tell you that we are very happily married.

    I only got a 4!!!!

I think I probably would have scored lower if they'd had a choice fer sleepin' nekkid instead of just the pajamas thing!

It would appear that I would not make a very good 1930s Husband... I think I should be sad...

I'm no jrrl, but I am still rated Very Superior with a score of 85 points. Might help my score if I was married... or maybe that would hurt.

I'm pleased to say that I scored "Poor". I think I did OK on most of the goody2shoes stuff, but I was even better at the radical bad woman stuff!

I don't actually remember the number, but I think it was higher than 4. In a previous life I cooked and sewed and did the dishes regularly. And I do like that congress thing, even if I tend to stay up all night instead of going to bed on time like a nice little wife.

Oh and "congress" is my new favorite word. Been making silly references to it all day that have been truly hilarious but no one gets it.

I know what you mean. I keep thinking about "reaching across the aisle" and "bipartison" in a whole different way.

    And 18 - a "Failure".

Considering that I am recently divorced does that mean that 21st century men still want a 1930's wife?

    :P~~~~~~~

I guess hubby and I were born in the wrong decade. He got an 89 (Very Superior) and I got a (hehehe) 69. Superior. Looks like you've got company, Rexanne!

Yeah, but considering the (hehe) you must have had to have checked the one about telling vulgar stories.

As any proper 1930's wife would do, I plead the fifth.

Oh gosh. I just bought and moved into a 1930-built house that I've affectionately named my dump-from-hell rehab. Can actually see/live in real life why the women had to do what they had to do back then. And why the Weyerhauser employed men did what they did, too. While my place is on the National Historic Register, and I had to clear out major drug paraphernalia from the break-ins while it'd been abandoned, I remain eternally grateful that I don't have to do the 1930's wifey thang!!!

Ahhh we're just good wives and hubbys, Meadowmfn, no matter what decade we're playing in.

Even though I would have to slap anyone who thought those 1930 "rules" should still apply, I consider myself a great wife. Both my ex husbands thought so, too. LOL

I scored a decent 91, a "Very Superior" husband, I think my cussing at other drivers let me down
