I was dissapointed. The special effects and fight sequences were truly excellent.

But the plot lacked focus, the characters seemed one-dimensional and the dialogue- I think Webmaster Mike's parrot could have written better dialogue.

I look forward to hearing people's reviews. I went in with high expectations, but came out dissapointed.

The Matrix had this incredible defining moment when everything was revealed to Neo. In Reloaded there is no defining moment, just an endless serious of fistfights broken by lame dialogue.

I agree with Wayne. Went in with hopes, came out feeling I could have waited. Fight scenes were awesome, but the plot was lacking.

    Heh hehe.

    Matrix Reloaded?!?!?!

I can't keep myself from laughing when I saw Keanu Reaves flying like a superman.

And I hate that when it says 'to be continued' ...

Actually RedFish... the line is "To Be Concluded" I'm fresh from the theater. Don't forget to stay seated past the credits for the coming attractions to REVOLUTIONS!

Unfortunately, I agree with Wayne and cditty. The plot did lack focus and the fight scenes and special effects were awesome. Overall it was far less impactfull than the original, but still a good movie.

I loved the effects and the fight scenes. Fantastic.

As for the plot.. I have a feeling it is building up to something in the next movie..

Is it a matrix within a matrix?

yes matrix within a matrix... But its not lame...

everything is well linked with philosophy.

I dont wanna declare myself as a matrix defender. But i think everybody must think more deep and specific to understand something...

I'm gonna watch it as soon as I can. Still there's a child in me that wants to watch hi-tech pentium-6 generated fights.
I wonder what you thought of Cube and Cybercube. Surely those two were brain squarers. Not much to look at though, but it was the best cheweing gum for my mind.

Find it all a bit scary. Too many people who won't distinguish between film and reality. Like all those who put Jedi Knight down on their census forms. Now, you and I know 99% of them were doing it a a joke. But it's the 1% that scare me. Ditto the matrix films. Some people'll really think they're documentaries, not fiction.

Most of the time the characters are supposed to be computer-generated inside the matrix.

This would make them one-dimensional by definition, right?

I went to see it last night and thought it was pretty good. I think the first one was better but this one was worth the $8. Especially for the visual effects and fight scenes.

I am sure there are a few people who are all concerned that machines are taking over the world and that we will end up being a "power source" for them.

I saw it opening day at a special 'screening room' in a local cinema and enjoyed it a great deal. It would be impossible to top the first one but I think they did a good job for a sequel. Few sequels ever match the original because things aren't 'new'.

This edition of the matrix gave me exactly what I wanted: More fights, more about what the matrix is, more about the human reistance, a good dance song and of course some erotica.

I had a smile on my face after hearing there was a steamy love scene between Trinity and Neo in the flick. However, after viewing the movie... it wasn't all that steamy.

I understand this one was in there for the ladies, but the ending visual of Neo (Keanu's) butt is a horrible nightmare of an image I'm still trying to purge from my memory banks.

I think the movie was okay, but not great.
They "overdid it" with the special effects.. somewhat repetitive. I also didn't like, that they made it a pre-sale for Matrix 3.

Didn't made up my mind yet, if I like the continuation or not. We will see in November.

I got a special PM from Mr. Monuit today. Keanu's bee-hind. It's been almost a week since I saw Matrix Reloaded and the image had started to fade... NOW IT'S BACK! Nightmares... I'm gonna have nightmares tonight... I blame you Mr. Joesph Monuit

The big question about the Matrix: Reloaded is whether you actually chose to see it or if the choice was already made for you and you need to understand why...
