    Suggestions for Email Blast Services???
I have been building an email list but need a jump start. I see a lot of advertisements for companies selling a million emails for $199 and so forth. I have checked into Info USA, which is a very legit company, but they want about 12 cents per email.

Does anyone know of a legitimate and cost effective email blast service that has worked for you?

    Thanks for your help.

All I can say is "you get what you pay". 1 million emails at $199???
I guess they have sold it to 1 million people before you and you are the 1 million + 1 person buying that list. Buyer beware.

There is no such thing as a "jumpstart" in opt-in email marketing. If they didn't opt-in to receive your email, it's called spam.

    Co Branded Emails
I'm not sure I would say that if they didn't opt in to get my email it's called spam. I have bought lots of co-branded email campaigns with the Wall Street Journal, Kiplingers, etc. and gotten good response. The consumer just has to have opted in to get an email from that particular source. I just need a cheaper source.

Not your list.....SPAM....unless they own the email addys legitimately and have permission to rent them.....which I have not seen to date.

    Build your own list!

I think there might be some confusion on what you're looking for exactly.

Buying an email list from somebody and sending it out mail (spam usually) different from buying an ad or slot in somebody's email list, provided they have opt in subscribers.

I've never done either, only mail I send out are to those that have signed up on my site.

I think he's looking to share a slot in an opt-in email drop.

Think about it, if you've got an effective drop list you really gonna pimp it out for pennies when you could drop the offer yourself and earn the CPA?

There are opt-in "Deals and Special Offers" email lists that you can buy drops through, but they are VERY hard to find (as most are very SPAMMY) and are rarely worth the expense. You've got to have a tremendous offer to make the drop worthwhile.

Plus, even if they are legitimate opt-in email lists, there is enough of a perception of SPAM that you often have to be very careful.

You're likely better off running a few acquisition campaigns to try to build your own lists, rather than spending the money on someone elses.
