Any idea why the "." , etc is dropped?
Was working on the SEO for my company.

Our listing appeared on the 3rd listing.
Title Should be: LostGolfBalls.com - New Wilson Staff Zip Golf Balls.
Showing up on google as "LostGolfBallscom New Wilson Staff Zip Golf Balls"
    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&c...&start=10&sa=N

    It is missing
-the "." (DOT) before the com
    - and also the "-" between the domain and the title of the product.

I check Matt Cutts' website and a few other sources but came up empty as to why this is happening.

    See original.

    Thought?

It is not obvious why but you could ask it here: http://groups.google.com/group/Google_Webmaster_Help sometimes google employees check the forum and sometimes they answer, you may also get a few incorrect answers from people who don't know what their toking about.

Whatever it was, looks like it's fixed now. All the punctuation is there.

I too am at a loss here. The only inconsistency I can see is that some of your pages have identical title / meta title content (with the URL) and some don't... but that doesn't seem to be effecting how the title displays for the other pages.

I'll be curious if you find out the answer... post back and let us know.

It's still showing on Google (for me) as described in the original post. Most of their pages have the correct punctuation, but this one seems to be missing it.... weird.

I took a screenshot of it, not missing anything in my view of the Google results page linked to above. Not sure if it's OK to post that though.

Why do you care as long as you are third on the page?

Thanks guys. It is showing the dot. now.

BurgerBoy, it is on the second page 4th listing. Not 1st page.

It's more for personal knowledge and constant improvement.

Thanks 25trees for the URL. Bookmarked!
