Are they available yet? I can't find any trace of "Easy Links" when I log into LinkShare.

Had a hard time finding them myself. I think just a few merchants have them so far. Alibris is one merchant that has them. And use the new interface for them. With new interface, you can select sizes, see a preview etc. Old interface, doesn't look like it.

I tried one out. Not sure I like the (Grab an Ad) link which goes to linkshare signup page. Neither of my images show either...

Oh well, maybe it will work itself out over time.

    Thanks Trust! I found them.

Only 2 of my advertisers have them and of the one I tested all I got was little boxes with an X in them where the pictures should be.

Another fine roll-out by LinkShare, the network that pays you whenver the mood eventually strikes them to do so.

Oh well, back to Share-A-Sale to find some decent tools I can use.

    easy links advertisers
    There's a list of enabled Advertisers here - http://helpcenter.linkshare.com/publ...questionid=614

I tried Gardener's Supply and it seemed to work fine.

I just tried to access Overstock Easy links from the "list of merchants page" (and hovering over and clicking the easy links link) and just get sent to a page displaying this:

    Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /fs/cli/ on this server.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Apache/1.3.34 Server at merchant.linksynergy.com Port 80
that page is really buggy, I came back to have a second go and the hover over javascript would not show up properly I then went to the Overstock link page and there is nothing about "Easy Links"

Yes, well done LS, another top rollout failure of a new feature.

edit: ok I managed to find some from Personal Creations. It might be good for certain situations but it would be even better if they let you use multiple merchants for a single easy link.

They are the most sluggish technology. they hardly ever work and whenm they do there's broken links.
    It's a terrible linking option.

I'm sure that I don't like the Grab an Ad link. Readers will find it very confusing, thinking maybe that they can somehow save this ad to their computer. I definitely won't use because of this.

Also, it didn't keep my color changes. I used #ffffff for the border, it gave me a black border anyway.

It would be also nice to select several related merchants, but maybe that will come when more merchants add Easy Links.

Here are the merchants I know of:
    Footlocker
    Onlineshoes.com

The problems I've had with easy links are:
1)Website takes a long time loading.
2)Products that are supposed to be displayed aren't didplayed and have a white box with a red x in the center.

It became to annoying to work with these links and I can't trust them.

Tried it and was sooo disappointed. As others have said it wouldn't maintain selected border colors and the Grab an Ad link is really annoying. But the stupidest thing I experienced was when a merchant name was too long to fit the width of the box. It didn't automatically shrink the font, it didn't wrap the name, it truncated the name; AT BOTH ENDS. So www(.)1-800-FLOWERS(.)com became w.1-800-FLOWERS.c.

One more example of a good idea with poor implementation. Sort a like the new interface.

    -rematt

(BTW, the response I received from support was to use a larger box. So basically, I'm supposed to redesign my site around their widget. Yeah right.)

Linkshare support = microsoft support. How to give good customers the run around and never answer a question. Both compnaies bamboozle you so much that you forget why you called them in the first place.
