What's your opinion? Professional photography or not?
    Hey guys,

What's your first reaction when you come to a website to read about a person and they have a professional picture vs just a really good head shot taken from a non pro camera. Do you feel differently about it? Does it make the person seem more credible / successful because they have this fancy model-type shot? Do you like that it looks fancier or do you really not care less?

    What are your thoughts?

Well depends if the website is a personal blog for example versus a website that is for e.g. a law firm. For a business, definitely a nice professional shot so no shots from a web cam with lots of noise and low resolution. Nowadays there are inexpensive cameras that take great pics and I don't think most people can tell whether it's a $100 camera or a $1000 one.

btw, saw a few pictures of your blog. The pics are amazing.

Thanks. If you want to see something really cool you can check out this video on Canyoning in Switzerland. It's one of the last things I did on my trip and although I sprained my back was one of the most incredible days of my life.

    Here, check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jayo_dhVypc

That is the exact course I did. There were 29 guys and me. Was one heck of a ride!

    Absolutely insane.

That place is beautiful. I hope the water was warm! 20s?

Great video and seems these guys were stunt people, gymnasts, dare devils and plain ol' nuts!

Someday you can show your grandkids....this is what grandma used to do for fun! LOL...

Yes, it was insane. I'm slightly off my rocker to have done something like that, but it was incredible!

and, yes, I'll have to show my kids and grand kids that I had a sense of adventure when I was younger.

anyway, thanks for your two cents on the photo question. If anyone has any other opinions feel free to share. It'd be for a professional's website.
