Linkshare - How do *you* log in?
I changed all my browser settings and did all the recommended things and absolutely cannot log into Linkshare. How are the rest of you getting in? I contacted support and they told me to "get a computer professional to check your computer".

    Not the most professional answer.

Do you have any anti-spyware (i.e. SpyBot Search & Destroy) that "innoculates" your browser? For the longest time I couldn't login and finally discovered SpyBot had put Linkshare in a list of sites to either not accept cookies from or block. Can't remember which. I removed it and voila! I could access it again.

It could be a cookie problem. Delete it. Nortons and others like Spybot do their best to block access to Linkshare, check your host file.
Several times I had to check my settings with an other computer.
They have the most stupid people working with them. I don't know what they did lately but it's taking me several minutes to log in. What are they doing during that time with that file /authenticateUser.php?
They should start to hire professional people at LinkShare.
I feel your pain, Loxly. You're not alone to have problems with them.

I had the same problem the other day. I am using Firefox and had to go into Tools > Options > Privacy > Exceptions, then I had to type in the web address "linksynergy.com" and allow it. I had to do the same thing when I was using IE.

I don't know if it is the "right" thing to do, but it does allow me to sign into their interface.

    Good luck

I did that, twice, on ff and ie, on vista computer AND xp. But I do have SpyBot on both computers, will go check the settings there. Thanks all!

I bought a brand new computer, it is sooo nice, but when I went to linkshare I wasn't allowed to log in, so I stayed for 2 weeks not being able to log in, then one day I broke my stubborness and asked my husband and it took him 2 seconds to disable the firewall. Security on a computer works well, maybe a little too well!

I let Linkshare know that requiring us to lower security settings and disable Spybot and other programs to access our log ins is unacceptable.

They need to make their site usable, not make us change our computer settings.

I have one computer that Spybot isn't installed on and that is the only place I can get logged into Linkshare.

I have the same trouble logging in to SAS. It's impossible in FF but IE works as long as I turn off Ad-Watch...
