Ermmm well, cough, when I was a kid, I was so proud that we had a real tree every year, heck we even tried to grow one that was transplanted each year... but it died... and said to myself "Yup when I have kids, they'll have a real tree too, not one of those plastic ones...."

So here I am many moons later in a nation where the only option for a real tree is to import it .... oh how sad it is....

And I have to add that tinsel and decorations on palm trees and orchids, just isn't quite the same

This is what we do in Japan
So since I am originally from Japan, here is what we do for Christmas.
Most of us do celebrate Christmas because we all like presents. Usually parents get one gift per child. We do use table size fake tree and decorate with cotton balls.... It's not so commercial like here and Christmas definitely provides family quality time. By the way, I always didn't like Christmas because my birthday is a day after Christmas and I get "combined" gift.

Sipppp... ahhh. My BUNN brews a pot in three minutes.

Ha Ha, those that posted here already know what I deleted, so I'll spill the strategy. We began promoting items in April that weren't necessarily released yet or are in pre-release. They're going to be big Christmas sellers. This gave us extra time to develop the traffic and become a more authoritative source for those products. This has drawn a lot of traffic for those items. Very interesting traffic patterns too. One particular item during a two day period literally doubled our overall traffic which suddenly returned to normal the next day. And traffic bumps also immediately follow TV shows where these products are discussed or showcased.

So, we plan to "win"... AND we ARE "good"!</shameless self promotion>

Working hard on my press for Q4. If I get everything done the way I want I should be able to get some great write-ups before the holidays come. Then Google won't have any doubts on where to send all its holiday traffic

    Cheers,
I read that as "I sit Christmas".com and I thought... "That doesn't make any sense!"

I will follow Boomers lead and not post again (or read) til I have some coffee.

Christmas already, Oh boy. The only time of the year I actually get some sleep because my wife is out shopping for the world. I wonder how much more shopping she will do now that we have a child, hmmm. Hide the credit cards.

Sandy shops for Christmas all year long when she runs across the best deals. Half our laundry room is devoted to Christmas present storage.

I REALLY need to send it to my mother in law, actually. She starts decorating in October. I'm not exaggerating when I say that she has roughly 70 large moving boxes full of Christmas decorations. We're talking 5 Christmas trees, minimum, wreaths and lights everywhere, plus a huge Dickens village display that probably has it's own zip code.

I get a little Santa Claustrophobic when I'm over there.

You know, that's the second "accidental" idea I've had this week before I've had coffee that's prompted thoughts of calling a patent lawyer. I think maybe I need to give up coffee...

So, how much commission should I offer for the "Christmas balance ball that looks like an ornament" affiliate program?

I'm also thinking about offering sofa slip covers that make your couch look like Santa's sleigh....
