    One of "those" days
OMG I can't believe the crappy day I've had.

My newsletter server (Topica) is messed up and not delivering my newsletter since yesterday. This is the first time I've missed a deadline inmore than 8 years. Anyone know what's up with Topica? (yeah I know I am getting what I paid for but this is a first.)

My freaking ISP won't upload changes to my site (ongoing issue) and all the updates since 2 days ago haven't posted.

One of my best-performing merchants went off line at SAS for a scant 24 hours but racked up dozens of invalid clicks from my site.

Firefox has been giving me sh!t for weeks about not having ActiveX installed and when I try to install the missing plug in, it tells me it doesn't recognize my browser. ARGHHHH

I'm losing my mind and everyone in my house thinks I'm crazy for complaining and screaming at the computer so I came here to blow off steam and get a little compassion. LOL

I'm sorry you're having a crap day. Sounds like a good time for a glass of wine and a biscotti. Call it a day and try again tomorrow!

I've been contemplating getting drunk since 9 AM, Rhea - LOL - Still sober as a dead fly and not any happier. You're right, though - time to walk away and forget this damn machine for the rest of the day. (HA fat chance!)

Get away, go down to Starbucks (gotta be one just down the street) and just veg. Sandy and I go to ours often. I relax there and shake it all off. I've come mighty close to falling asleep in their big easy chairs. And for every bad day there are usually at least five good days!

Good plan Boomers. Just what I need ... more coffee. LOL

But yeah, there are at least 5 good days to everyone like this thankfully or we'd all zoo. Thanks for the positive take.

    Gotta add this...
We have so many stories from going there that we were going to publish a coffee table book. Since getting into the aff marketing side of business we decided we're going to develop a blog site; Bees at Bucks dot you know what. Oh well, so much for shaking it off...

do it! If you have stories and ideas, a blog is the perfect element to see if the idea works. Then you could create the coffee table book and sell it to all the traffic you generated on the blog. :-)

I've had a day like that for what seams to be the past two months, I know and feel your pain ... No liquor, coffee nor food can ease the deluge of BullShooty that seams to coming out where ever you look ... only the knowledge that:

Rexanne this is where a good FPS (first person shooter) comes in handy. When I have a bad day, I say screw it, and load up Team Fortress 2 and shoot people. What this does is stop me from actually shooting any more people in real life... wait... I mean thinking about shooting people in real life.

Them there video games can be good therapy.

(sending chocolate anyway just in case, it's better than hugs)

Rexanne, sorry to hear about your crappy day!

Sheesh! When it rains, it pours!

    Just blame it on Gustav!

Don't fret about your newsletter deadline. I am sure your readers will understand.

Get rid of the ISP. Two days delay seems outrageous!

As far as the computer,... hmmmm .... maybe a nice bonfire?

Ahhhhhhhh you are all great buds! Gotta love the ABW family who understand all the crap we go through!

Coming back to read all your encouraging words and collecting hugs and chocolate has put a BIG smile on my face. Thank you!

I've been playing video games most of the day, while hitting the "upload" button on FrontPage - site STILL hasn't uploaded and at this point, I don't care. I'll deal with it tomorrow along with researching list servers. Wish it were as easy as paying to get a new ISP. Problem is (or so SBC/Yahoo tells me) the DSL lines running to my condo are too far from the main base and so they can't give me enough juice. Cable in my area is worse ... I am so ready to bribe someone at CBS studios down the street to tap into one of their T1 lines. I'd gladly pay 10 times what I pay for DSL for a REAL connection.

Might even get to bed earlier than 3 AM since I can't really do anything except get more frustrated. I've had enough shoot em up for one day. :-)

I did take a break for dinner. Marine guys made us barbecued steaks to die for and told war and training stories. That was fun. :-)

Tomorrow ... tomorrow ... gonna be a GOOOOOOOD day! :-)

    Hugs back to everyone!
    Peace,

    Rexanne

Turn on some Pandora (while its still around) and enjoy some new music along with your old favorites. If you are like me though and run 100 tabs in your browser at a time, load it in a seperate browser like Opera and it will run a lot smoother---just trying to help you avoid more frustration.

I hope your today is better than your yesterday.

    You tell him, Rexie!

Men, pay attention. There's more than one solution to every little problem that comes along -- and it ain't chocolate!

Trying to figure that out should keep them busy for days!

I take it that you never did change your site over to HostGator. I never have any problems with them.
