    [Contest] $83.38 Commission on a $1 Item!
Gotta love this! A visitor to our website looking at Indiana Jones toys ended up at eBay and bought a $1 dollar item that earned me an $83.38 commission. How is this possible? Pretty simple but I'll leave the sleuthing up to you...

I know! I know! I know this one -- eBay saw that it was you, boomers, and said, "Ah, here's out chance to reward faithfulness and good clean living, and ..."

    No???

Nope. Single $1 auction item won at the starting bid with one bid...

Here's my guess: The extra came from shipping/handling cost.

It was a high quantity, dutch or multiple item auction, with all the bells and whistles and your sale was the only one, or one of the only ones so you got the whole pie.

the winner has to pay $ 299.00 + bid, so you get the commission on how much ebay gets from that sale

The listing fee was hugemongous? They went with all the bells n' whistles, featured listing, etc?

    Hugemongous listing fee + $299 admin fees +$1 (i.e. $300 final value)?
