If you're looking for a free one, here's one that I use sometimes. Checks not only Google, but also Yahoo!, MSN, AOL, AllTheWeb, AltaVista and two web directories (Yahoo's and Dmoz).

You can also try SEO quake, gives you useful information about google page rank, inbound links, alexa ratings, and more.

    Medgen/Chris,

Just downloaded seo quake and it's awesome.

PR, google indexed pages, Yahoo indexed pages, MSN, whois, alexa, age of domain, keyword density, any of the main social bookmark sites you want, etc.

    SEO elite is another option
    And spyfy
But the easiest option is to sign up for a webmasters account
It tells you what keywords people are using to find your site and where you rank for those keywords

I think the original question was on SE ranking (as opposed to Google PageRank).

That's what a navigator is good for keeping things on course. How easily we drift.

Okay -- is this question off topic? Don't mean to be, BUT -- I installed the SEOquake extension for Firefox, and no matter what I do or what website I go to, I cannot get any of the buttons on the SEO Quake toolbar to ACTUALLY DO ANYTHING??

What am I not figuring out?
