From microsoft windows update
"Security issues identified in Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) could allow an attacker to compromise systems with IE installed (even if IE is not used as the Web browser). For example, an attacker could run programs on a computer used to view the attacker's Web site. Download this update from Microsoft to help protect your computer. After installation, you may have to restart your computer."

You can update IE until the cows come home. It's still based on a false sense of security (none at all):
"Flea can execute automatically when users open HTML formatted emails in Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express. Unlike most Windows nasties, the bug does not depend on a user opening an infectious file to do its mischief, Finnish AV vendor F-Secure warns."
And more bad news as well.
If you want the Internet (and affiliate marketing) to survice this onslaught of viruses, parasites, etc STOP USING IE AND OE and talk your websurfers into doing the same!

I am told Mac never had any problems - although I never personally used a Mac, it doesn't look like a bad idea at all.
Is anyone using a Mac?
