Are you gonna be here working or are you going out to have fun?
We are having a big party at our house for my daughter and all her teenage friends. Gonna decorate the place up and play some games.
But I have the feeling I will get kicked out and be here instead.
And the next morning I gotta be on a plane to NYC so I won't be able to party much anyways!
My 22 year old stepson is coming to take his 9 year old brother trick or treating so I don't have to suffer thru that.

If you are dressing up, what are you gonna be?

I will be down here (in the basement) trying to get some datafeeds to work after moving them to a different server or maybe doing the final touches to my sites or whatever needs doing before I set off for NY for a few days

    I got my parasiteware t-shirt

Whats the matter, Pauline won't let you on the main floor of the house while the kids come trick or treating? Afraid you might scare them away?

Well, I've got four kids so I'll be doing the trick-or-treat thing and then staying up way to late working on pages. Probably swipe some of their candy for the late night!

I'd dress up as Haiko if I had one of those nifty ParasiteWare T-Shirts

I do not engage in pegan oriented practices, and if y'all have any sense, you will not let your children either. I could go into an extensive debate, as I am shure some of you will argue it, but I urge you to read some of these sites I have listed below with an open mind. If you still think it is harmless fun, God help you and the kids.

Hey Chief, knowing NYC, how will they be able to tell you from just the average person on the street??

I'll probably spend the evening helping to answer the door and handing out treats. We don't get a ton of kids in my neighborhood, so it's not too bad.

I will also probably be working on datafeeds, not going as well as I expected. I'm going to have to shorten my learning curve.

Adult Halloween was last night. It was our 5th annual Big Bash, about 60 people showed up at the house and we all got pretty toasted, for those that did not drink they had tons of fun laughing at us.

I actually got to play a game of pool for this party instead of just being hostess. We bought one of the dual basketball timed games and it was an excellent hit.

I went as a woopie cushion, and won the costume contest, since it was my party I had to give it to the Wench who came in second place. First pace for the males was a flasher, on his private area he had that scream mask there. It was hilarious.

We only had 1 person that did not dress up and he got the penalty, every guest placed makeup on him, we had earrings for him to wear and a Beach Towel cape. My garden floppy hat and he had a costume! Each year there is a different penalty.

We shot about 3 rolls of film.

For Halloween I will dress up again to pass out candy. Play the really spooky music and have the fogger on so it can scare all the little ones.

Halloween is my favorite holiday and I go all out every year. Our front porch, which is huge, has a VERY VERY large spider in a web, we have a full graveyard, its actually real creepy this year and I love it. We also have one of those motion sensor ghost, just heard it go off again. Need to turn that thing off till Halloween.

Hope everyone has a happy Halloween this year.

My oldest is going to a football game at the high school, and we're taking the 2 youngest to a Bowling costume party - blacklights, loud music and bowling - should be a blast for them. Afterwards, we'll do what we usually do, watch an old Abbot and Costello movie (probably "...Meet the Mummy"), eat lots of popcorn and candy and enjoy a family night.

The last few years we've opted for the party thing rather than the door to door thing. They went to a Halloween party/Harvest festival last night (costumes optional). It was fun! Loads of games and candy.

Last year (the 1st year in this house) we only had 2 kids come to the door "trick or treating". The neighbors said that was 50% less then came the previous year.

There seems to be so many diiferent things happening around here Halloween week that trick or treating seems boring to the kids now. The Couty Fair just started and runs until Nov 1st. The Zoo had a Harvest Festival/Halloween Event this weekend, the school is hosting a Halloween dance next Friday night, etc.

So much to do, so little money.

A few years ago, I payed a visit to a friend in Minnesota over the Halloween holiday. She introduced me to my current holiday tradition:
    The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

    Ah memories...

Can't wait to take the kids out trick or treating this year! Of course, it will be Catie's first Halloween - another introduction to a bizarre American tradition. I can't wait to see her reaction! My son and his best friend are wearing homemade Batman and Bat Girl costumes. My wife and I will take turns taking the kids out while the other hands out candy. I can't wait!!!!

On the issue Lucas brought up, I'll have to stick with JJJay's answer.

Ssanf- I want to visit your house!
We make chili, turn on the spooky music and decorate like mad ourselves.

Unfortunately, my two year old has just learned the idea beind "scared" and is having trouble with the whole idea this year- so we'll be toning things down to avoid years of therapy.

We'll be getting my son ready to be a zombie, and getting our own hobo costumes together...

But the biggest thing we'll be doing on Halloween is making settlement on our first house.
