    You mean the merchant who sent you the affiliate newsletter is an affiliate for another merchant? Trying to understand the situation here.

    Haiko: I assume the 1st merchant found a compliment partner and think that they can gain from an affiliate relationship with a 2nd merchant. I have seen this before and never gave it much thought. Am I missing something here?

    I've done this in two ways before-
    1- Sharing space with other programs I like- like Irv's luggage. We advertised their program, they advertised ours.

    2- Actual affiliate links. There are programs that we have either as an advertiser or a recommended partner that we have an affiliate relationship with. In this case we may use the affilaite link either to track sales for us or a special deal for our affiliates- like the WebMerge deal we have linked to- a discount off for our affiliates.
