October 1st, 2008, 04:13 PM #1Affiliates Misunderstanding What an "Incentive Affiliate" is?In incentive descriptions I see affiliates mentioning "Google AdWords", "blogs", "classified advertisements", "e-mail marketing", etc.
CJ network reps: it may be good to include a definition and examples of incentive affiliates for them not to list things that aren't relevant, and don't make them incentive affiliates.

Geno - The PSA actually says the following - "designate Your Publisher Account as “special” if You promote an Advertiser(s) by any means other than displaying a Link to the Advertiser on Your Web site. ".
On the signup form itself, the prompt is
"* Does your Web site offer incentives to visitors, donate a portion of proceeds to charity or require special approval from advertisers? (help)
Description of your incentive/special program"
I have a feeling people check "no", but then write in the box.

I was confused by that when I first signed up with CJ several years ago, and said 'yes' my site was an incentive site, even though it wasn't, because at the time I didn't know what an incentive site meant.
It's one symptom of many that CJ is TOTALLY out of touch with the needs of ordinary affiliates. Much worse is their policy of cancelling people's accounts after 6 months.

CJ is collecting perfunctory information for classification as a feigned attempt at complaince. Obviously the affiliates who actually knew what they were wouldn't say they are parasitic scum suking and thieving low life MFers, although with the large number that do meet that criteria within CJ, they really shouldn't have to make them check the enter box and manually enter it.Continued Success,

* "Make money in doller"
* "Here We offer gift or cash to complete big offers inminutes.Start making money as soon as you sign up!" (I thought they are signing up with the programs we manage, but it now looks like I was wrong :-))
* "one special program nice and pro"
* "I am pramoting banner through chating , blogging & Business relation."
* "paid to lead."
* "my site is new,i will bo best."
* "I WISH TO DO SO."
All of the above were cut right from the "Special Incentive" descriptions. I have kept the punctuation, capitalization, spelling, etc exactly as they had them there.

That was hilarious, Geno. I was feeling a little stressed today and that made it disappear some. A little educashun goes a long way. Please tell me that these weren't USA based applications. ;-)
