    Am I doing something wrong?
From mid August through September 11th, I was making sales almost every day and then nothing.

I'm not sure what if anything has changed other than that was around back-to-school time.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

Maybe you lost your ranking, that was driving traffic to your site.

That's not much to go on. Rather than your readers doing question and answer with you, how about more information? Traffic stats, merchant/network stats, test transactions, CTR, etc...

making sales almost every day means that you cannot be getting much traffic, or at least not muc converting traffic. So a drop to no sales isn't that much of a surprise. There could be many reasons why your sales have stopped. If your traffic steady? Did you change anything?

It happens once in a whole, make sales big time and before you know it, it freezes. Be happy that you made some sales. I on the other hand started Aug24 til now, no sales what so ever, but I see my traffic hitting in big time.

It is not just you. Sales are down pretty much across the board on all non essential items. By non essential I mean anything other than food, energy, and clothing and books that must be purchased. The U.S., Canada and the EU are all waiting to see where the chips will fall over the next few weeks and it makes the average Joe or Jame think twice before whipping out ye olde credit card. Nervous people do not make for happy consumers.
