Question Using two themes on one site?
I want to be able to show two versions of the same site to different users. Example one full blown theme to average users, and then an iphone optimized theme for those users.

Either I can't word what I want to do right on searching in google or on wordpress, but it should be possible. Anyone know?

My youngest son has a wifi enabled phone. Just tonight he was showing me a long webpage on his phone that he'd pulled in while he was within range of a hotspot. He was talking about how some websites automatically detect that he's using a phone and feed pages that are formated for his phone. Try searching for developing WAP websites.

No, I know about WAP sites. I am primarily looking to change a WP site to use two different themes. I know there has to be a solution. The problem with other WAP enabled sites is using different software to do it.

Thanks for the feedback though. I really hate to switch these sites over to something else. That would be even more work.

What about a different version of CSS based on the browser, IE, FF, mobil etc. or some kind of script that will bring up the file.

Or if the sites are completely different why not use .mobi to show the mobile site?
Redirect to the .mobi site IF browser is a mobile phone ELSE show .com site

    Is that possible?

I use a javascript style switcher on one of my sites. This is the code page here,
    http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...etswitcher.htm

The only draw back would be that the user has to select themselves. I'd imagine to change it automatically you would need php to detect the iphone agent before selecting what the default CSS file would be.

It's not so simple actually. You have to force WP to show two different themes and as is it only accepts 1 active theme at a time. I am working on some solutions. Thanks for the feedbacks.
