I'm looking for an e-mail solution that I can use to send e-mail to a subscriber base of ~100,000 to 500,000 customers.
I've found topica.com and roving.com as two companies that offer an e-mail solution, but I know nothing of their quality.
Does anyone know who the leader is when it comes to e-mail solutions?

Topica sucks. A year or so ago I tried them for a few weeks. Your list is there list...Anyone on your mailing list, they feel free to email them with lots of offers and things too.
So I got my list the heck out of there really fast!
I don't want anyone having my subscriber list but me!

Topica is not so hot. As mentioned, your list is their list. I know several people who've moved their lists from Topica because of complaints from list members.
I've looked at Vertical Response before, and it looks like a nice option to consider.
