Is there a breakdown of what percentage of that is active? Just wondering; that's definitely a huge success!

now does this include the number of spammers who have to join to post?
would those have been excluded in the 49K?
    just curious.

49,055, the number up top, yes does include spammers, the actual number of raw registration is actually 49,199 (user sculptor). The number of banned spammers is only 2,886.

Hmmm...will ABW member number 50k begin with a letter, a number, or a symbol? Odds are a letter but I am going to pick a number.

Haiko, I'm curious if, even in your wildest dreams, you ever imagined that ABW would become the community and wealth of information that it is today.

Actually, yes. Way back in 2000 during the CJU (CJ forum) days I had made a list of suggestions to Angie (the moderator) as well as Lisa Riolo and Todd - to improve and maximize their communications channel, if they weren't going to do it, then I was ... so yes, I had big dreams and goals for ABW. I never thought we'd get to 50K members, I remember when we hit 100 and also 1K, but I did know we'd hit 1MM posts, be a repository for knowledge and never ending support and provide defense for affiliates in need and from bad players/tactics.

The one thing I could wish for with ABW, is more participation from more members, then we could be a powerhouse as a unit, now it seams like a few personalities driving the discussions and the bad players in the industry point to that ... and say only X people voice the rest follow - that kills me. I know ABW as a whole is the single most important positive influence in this industry, I want to multiply the great things it does as a unit, that is my goal moving forward, more voices unified for the good of the industry. There is no need to settle nor be complacent, with our combined efforts we can improve our industry bottom up, the way it's supposed to be done.

Trisha, Active members really isn't a real stat, returners is ... our returners (members and unreged) is a quite considerable number.

Very cool. It is a shame that more people don't participate, you're right. I wish I'd gotten into the forums earlier on.

Of those how many are "active" members? Vbulletin tells you that as well, but it's missing from the bottom stats like on most sites.

This software build didn't have that stat included. I use analytics to see show active returners, which to me is the real stat.

Yes, vbulletin has it built-in. You can set the days to consider when a user is active. Normally it's about 30 days (default I think). It can then be in the stats at the bottom of the page.

Though some forums set it to like 90 days. Basically it measures whether the person has logged in that period of time.

    Grats H. That's a big number.

I'm with you on your point on getting more participation from more people. I've sort of stepped out of the industry a bit, so I've been pretty quiet of late. Need to fix that. There's still areas I can contribute, even if I'm not staring at the exact same issues as affiliates are everyday.
