Question for both affiliates and Affiliate managers?

Are you an active part of your own affiliate program? If NOT then why not? If your program is soooo good, then why wouldn't you want to be a part of your own program?

For affiliates, would you care if the affiliate manager was active affiliate? I personally don't care but I thought it might make for interesting conversation....

    NO
There are TEN good positions in the Google SERPS.
I want them to go to our affiliates.
I get paid on their performance.

I will jump into PFI, if there are no others using that medodology.

I would not compete with my affiliates on any programs I manage and feel it would be a conflict of interest.

I do not act as a commission earning affiliate for any merchant site where I'm webmaster or AM. For years I'm top non SE referral source from this page www.ecomcity.com/holdup.htm and don't even use any merchants domain name in any of my sites page URLs as that is a common SE listing spam trick. As seen in recent posts SE spamming tricks will lead to whole groups getting Wjhacked by Google.

So basically all the affiliate managers, simply do not want to compete against your affiliates, I can see this makes sense.

    "conflict of interests"

Do you think the affiliates care?

My other questions, is how do most affiliate managers get paid? I am assuming they get a commission of what we the affiliates sell? Do they get a percentage of our commissions or a percentage of our sales?

Another quick question for all the AFFILIATE MANAGERS out there.....

I see some affiliate are making $7500 plus per month with certain programs...Surley you can't be making this amount? Why wouldn't you want to become an affiliate and make the big money? or am I missing something here?

Do most AFFILIATE MANAGERS always make more then there TOP affiliate?

    Just curious....

Never mind. I'll restrain myself this time. An old "Pearls before swine" story comes to mind.
