    Strange Keywords
I was just going through some of my stats and this key phrase jumped out at me because it is just so weird. Someone actually found one of my sites using the phrase: chest pimples bananas (read it fast)

I can't believe that this site is somewhat optimized for these words...

Anyone else care to share some strange keywords?

In the last 30 days my #1 keyword is "squished boobs" - I'm guessing it comes up because of the Affiliate Marketers Give Back post I made with the "squished boobs save lives" pin slogan lol.

Apparently - and I don't know why my site would even come up for them, I made like 2 mentions months ago.

    Keywords can be strange things.

Definitely a strange combo - If they bought something, start optimizing those keywords. LOL

There's a huge difference between 'traffic' and 'customers.'

In this case, it seems (intuitively) quite likely that the 'chest pimples bananas' search was initiated by a web crawler or robot that is using some kind of random-word-combination algorithm together with a dictionary (unless, of course, it's someone's attempt to find porn sites by using very strange word substitutions to replace the names of female and male anatomical parts).

Beware of following the wrong clues here. I've seen merchants who saw traffic using "unusual but very specific" search phrases, and who then devoted time and energy to optimizing for these search phrases, only to discover that the searches were generated by robots and crawlers.

    Mine was "t".

I don't know where they got that from but when I do a search on "t", my site does not come up.

If my site were a store I'd definitely optimize using that, but it's a blog on marketing so optimizing for "squished boobs" wouldn't really be appropriate lol.
