November 13th, 2008, 09:54 AM #1[Video] Burn At Least 500 Calories In 30 Minutes...
First of all, I'm not a health guru by any means. I'm of the opinion that if I stick to a diet plan, then I move around a lot and work up a good sweat - my health somehow takes care of itself. (donuts & ice cream in moderation)
Anyway, I found this video on Yahoo's homepage and thought I'd share it. The good thing about this is that it's great for people with bad knees.

Spinning could burn that many calories, if you do it at a very vigourous effort. Most people couldn't do it right away, but I do agree that it is a good, knee safe, way to burn some calories.
BTW, running one mile burns around 100 calories. If you can run a six minute mile (back in the day I could) you would also burn 500 calories in 30 minutes.
But regardless of how many calories per 30 minutes, get off the couch and do something!
