Any affiliate sites you wish were yours?

I ran across what I think is the best affiliate site I've seen.

[URL Removed - Felt It Was Drive By Spam]

I was researching gift sites, and gave up the thought after seeing this one.

    I couldn't improve on it.

    Any dream sites you've seen?

So if this site isn't yours, why did you post it's URL?

I am not impressed. Looks like the dime a-dozen, nothing new.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you do not visit the web much!

It just struck me as the ultimate affiliate site.

It seems a simple concept, but well implemented.

Gift ideas arranged by person, occasion, and type of person.

Ideas submitted by users, pretty good search engine.

#2 on Google for "gift ideas"

    Must have traffic like crazy.

    SandraR...

If this site is so dime-a-dozen, show me a better one.

My point is about posting URLs of affiliates here without their approval.
Thought that was against a rule or two here.
    I guess I was mistaken.

I would hardly think that was a TOS violation considering it was something he found in the serps. I thought the rule was to protect member shared knowledge with the intent to harm or expose.

The original URL removal was based on what I felt was "spamming" another affiliate site (not an ABW member) and was why no TOS notice was stated.

The reference to the TOS was based on only (ABW members) and in no way intended to say DukeOfURL violated these terms in this posting.

It was noted so that as a new member DukeOfURL is aware of posting any "affiliate" links to prevent future TOS issues.

    The TOS rules state:
    Member Identity or URL Exposing
Any member who posts another member's url or urls to their site(s), their real name or other personal information without the owners prior approval, shall immediately be banned.

I was just trying, crudely I guess, to point to one of the best implemented *IDEAS* I've seen.

That idea being a place to look for gift ideas.

    Simple, yes.

BUT.. the beauty lies in it's simplicity, like Yahoo.

It does one thing... helps with gift ideas in a unique way.

And, since this is an affiliate forum, I just thought I'd point out the clever way it lends itself to affiliate marketing.

If looking for gift ideas, this one shines.

I wish I'd thought of it.

Also, just for the record spamwise, I have NO connection whatsoever to the above (now deleted) URL.

Ray just so you are aware I believe you did the right thing as did popdawg. I was only stating my opinion. I don't believe the Duke had any intention of causing harm.

my dream site is one that reads minds and conforms to what the user wants to see, design and product. My commission would be 80% or more and I would have more traffic than google.

My dream site IS Google. The only differences would be,

    1) I'D own it.
    2) The algo would be rewritten so that my sites always had the #1 spot for their keys, no matter how I wrote 'em or how many links I had (or didn't have).

My other dream site is CJ. Too bad I didn't have the $58MM; I'd have bought that in a heartbeat...

If you had bought it, I would be pushing CJ merchants like the house was afire!

Mr.Merchant, if you do business in any way what-so-ever with parasites, your products will not be sold on my sites!!

Farewell, CJ! I loved you when you were young and pure. I will try to remember you that way. Disclaimer: Comments are to be interpreted as opinion unless otherwise noted.
