    Crap It's Winter!
I'm not a big fan of winter and usually only enjoy the snow about 1 or 2 days a year. The rest of the time I could very easily do without the snow and cold. It was sunny a few minutes ago but when I looked outside I saw this:

If i wasn't so close to Alta and world class ski terrain I'd probably feel the same about getting snow. But as it stands, the more the better for us

Alta already had one storm this season where it piled up 50 inches in upper Little Cottonwood Canyon.

    Hang in there, Greg

I am NOT looking forward to the snow here in Vermont. It normally hits us late in the year, but lasts until April, with regular snow all through December to March

I don't even want to think about 50 inches! Where the heck is it in the 90s? I'd be happy with 50+ degrees but we only have about half of that today at 27 degrees now. Glad I don't have a commute but worry about loved ones driving in this.

Dang, Greg. Don't remind me that winter is almost here. We're forecast for some "flurries" this week. Ugh! With having the new airplane I would just like to bypass winter all together this year. Days in the 50s are fine - but cold wind, snow, sleet, and slush are things I can do without for now.

Rainmaker and I are meeting at a golf resort airport in Pennsylvania for lunch tomorrow. We need to consider weather in three places, Rainmakers's home airport, my home airport and the destination airport. Tomorrow is the only day this week with any sun forecast for all three places. Late fall and winter make this a challenging exercise. Oh, yeah, it's a business trip - we'll be taking about Aff Mktg.

I wouldn't mind seeing some snow over here in the Piedmont of North Carolina and snow and ice rarely lasts more than a day before melting away.
Right now it is cold enough to put on a coat and I'm loving it.

I brisk 23 degrees this morning on the way to the Dentist's office. That was a bit chilly. It spit snow yesterday but the ground isn't cold enough yet for anything to stick. We are heading out to Ohio next week. Wonder if it is going to be a White Thanksgiving where we are.

Oh come on Greg and All, only 5 more months to go My son and myself cleaned out the garage and this will be the first year I will be parking the car in the garage ever. Of course being the fool that you all know I am I forgot I can park the car in the garage now and ended up having to clean it off this morning

Kevin, I'm hoping The Rock gets a foot of snow today so that you can take the lead in the race of big city snowfall. Syracuse is getting bored with winning the NYS Golden Snowball Award every year

I love our forecast for tonight - Fair and cold - 19. Nothing fair about that IMO!

It sn*wed here a few days ago, and it's still on the ground. And still on the car. As soon as the ground turned into that deathly white color, I entered winter hibernation mode!

It's in the 20s out there. That's wretched cold, and I have no intentions of subjecting myself to actually being OUT in it!

This is what it's like where I am. 30's - 20's - 30's - 20's. Wife took our SUV the other day and said there is no power steering, so that means I get to diagnose and (probably) replace a power steering pump in this weather. Why couldn't it have happened when it was at least 60 degrees out?

We had a few minutes of sunshine but it's back to snow again. So far about 3 inches but we're ready. Got the snowblower ready a couple weekends ago and straightened up the garage so we can both park inside again. I'm glad my commute is only a 30 second walk to my office

We had three inches of snow back in October! And we're having nasty snow squalls here today. Almost white-out conditions at times.

You haven't experienced winter until you get a day where the high temperature doesn't go above 0 Fahrenheit, and the low is -15 (-50 with the wind chill factored in). When that happens I don't go outside for nuttin'.

It's warm, sunny and typically gorgeous here. Greg, might be time to move West!

That looks like some miserable snow man, hang in there!

While I don't long for snow here, some rain would be nice. We're in a drought - we could use it!

ARE YOU KIDDING? Already have been to three ski swaps, got the kids both skis and snow boards. Got myself my first pair of powder skis, long and fat! Just did a day of training at the resort where I volunteer Saturdays to get a season pass for the family. We say family prayers at dinner for snow and would sleep in out ski jackets if it just snow. I can't wait for snow!

A number of our ski areas have been open for some time now, but the past two weeks, not much new stuff, so they are relying a lot on man made snow. I'm thinking the skies will open up and start dumping plenty of the white stuff soon - but I've seen Thanksgivings here where we were able to sit outside on the deck and watch the Elk too - so we'll see what's up for this year.
