    Question navigation
    I've been on this for hours.
    I am only having the detail pages able to go back to the list page.
    The subcategory and category pages won't go back to the previous.

    For the subcategory, I have the following code:
    </div><b><a href="../[WM-FIELD:CATEGORY nolink].html">
    <font size="4" color="#000080">
    <align="center">Back to Category Index</font></a></center>
    </div>

    Thanks in advance.

    I looked at those and their descriptions. I use [WM-LinkIndex] for the detail template.

    I had it working yesterday, using Frank's samples, but then the subcategory quit linking back to the category.

    Thanks anyway.

    Here goes another 48 hours of trying to figure out why it is not working. and I'm sure it's just me and my code.

    What changed in the template between the time it was working and when it stopped working?

    all that changed, was that I opened the template in Front page.
    I think I have some quirky things happening.

    Also yesterday, after opening it in front page, it changed the size and format of my table that contains the wm record fields. I had to bring in Franks subcategory template and revise it again.

    Now, I have it working except for the subcategory linking back to the category, which works some of the time, but randomly, not always.

    I'm still convinced it is user error and my coding must not be correct.

    I don't have a copy of FrontPage here myself, but I believe there's an option somewhere (perhaps in Preferences) to tell it to not alter text as you work on it.

    Hopefully one of the FrontPage users here can chime in with the specifics, but it sounds like that's what's causing your good pages to go bad. Once you're able to get FrontPage to stop monkeying with your tags it should all go well.

    Once again it may be just a matter of determining what's different between when it works and when it doesn't.

    Take a gander at the page where navigation is failing to see how it differs from one of your working pages. I suspect it may be just another case where FrontPage has altered your tag.

    ok, I'll check out the options in Front Page. Many thanks!

    Also, I have the navigation working, except where I did not correct some commas. That seems to be the issue. (like I thought.....user error)

    Webmerge is an awesome program, once I get the hang of using it.

    Thank you ever so much for your assistance and patience.

    I'll probably be back later. Right now, I'll be cleaning up my datafeed and uploading my 3-tier.

    But later, I'll be trying the 4-tier. It's really a shame that I had the 4-tier up 2 years ago, working wonderfully, then had to take 2 years off from the website.

    It was difficult re-learning the Webmerge. But I have to say that Webmerge is a awesome program and you've done a great job in putting out a wonderful product and providing support for it too!

    Again, thank you so very much for your assistance. You've made my holidays!
